Dr. Mark offers in-person and virtual professional development to support the implementation of Arts as Context, Listen-Move-Think!, Dance Your Story Today, and Music Puzzles.
*Note: Before any professional development is delivered, Dr. Mark will communicate with an academic leader to determine how best to support you and your team.
Dr. Mark facilitates STEMusic experiences for up to 24 students. You may select one build for all sessions or choose different experiences for each set of students. These interactive construction experiences allow kids to design, build, experiment, collect data, and make music.

Dr. Mark offers several English language arts experiences and can create something to fit your student’s specific learning needs. The most popular experiences are 1) highlighting the work of a single poet, for example, Shel Silverstein, by creating new music and 2) creating a musical based on a picture book selected by students.
*Note: Each music experience begins with communication between Dr. Mark and the teachers involved.
Dr. Mark provides kids with critical thinking opportunities in math and science through Music Puzzles. These experiences focus on executive function and attention to detail by using Audacity (free software) and 2-second music clips to orchestrate one-of-a-kind covers of classic music from the public domain. There’s more to the math inside music than quarter and eighth notes. Dr. Mark can show you how.

Dr. Mark has over 30 years of experience working with kids and has developed some pretty mad skills in literacy and music. He allows you to experience the joy of music and reading and learn from him as he works with your students. Have him come in for an hour or the day.

Many factors influence Dr. Mark’s fees. Among these, travel expenses top the list and will be negotiated at the time of your booking.
Cost of materials (per student). Every effort will be made to use the available resources at each campus.
Single 45-minute events are $200
Half-day $400
Full-day $600
Residencies for musicals or school-wide events that require an entire week, $2,000+
All bookings include documentation for state/national standard correlations required for your school/district/state.
